in the Hof van Busleyden in Mechelen is organised in cooperation with the Monastère royal de Brou in Bourg-en-Bresse.
Throughout time, our view of history changes and a period takes on a different colour. The exhibition 'Exuberant Past' puts the Romantic era of the 19th century in the spotlight. How did Romanticism view the Dukes of Burgundy, Philip the Bold to Charles the Emperor, the 'patriarchs of the Low Countries'?
The exhibition is open from 10 am to 5 pm, except on Mondays and Tuesdays; on the first Thursday of the month until 10 pm.
