Dynamic Symphonic Band bringing film music
On Monday 20 October 2025 the Dynamic Symphonic Band will perform in the Stadsschouwburg of Sint-Niklaas. What is the story of this orchestra from Dendermonde? And which musical stories will they bring us next year? We shed a little light as to what to expect and hope we get you warmed up for an unforgettable concert that will revive the images in your head.
Dynamic Symphonic Band is a big harmony orchestra with an extensive list of achievements. Since its start in 1982 this dynamic group of musicians acquired an impressive trophy case.
In 2013 Dynamic was vice-champion in the WMC Kerkrade in Harmony Second Division. They also are two-times national champion in superior division.
Under the leadership of conductor Geert Baetens, who has been directing this versatile orchestra for over three decades, the musical quality remains guaranteed.
This diversity and exquisite quality expresses itself – how could it not – in multiple ways. Every year Dynamic Symphonic Band presents at least two concerts of its own. The autumn concert combines challenging music of the repertoire of the harmony orchestra with crowd-pleasers capturing the imagination.
In spring the orchestra often joins hands with celebrities of the Musical. They already shared the stage with legends such as Hans Peter Janssens, Charlotte Campion, Jan Schepens and Deborah De Ridder. Their “Musical Moments” prove to be an absolute success formula!
Atmosphere, fun and ambiance are no ugly words for Dynamic Symphonic Band: on the contrary! For over 20 years the Dendermonde Orchestra has been setting the Sint-Baafsplein in Gent on fire during the Gentse Feesten. In their home town Dendermonde they regularly invite well-known guests to successfully combine light music with a musically challenging repertoire.
So there most definitely is something for every taste. Guest singers including Günther Neefs, Jelle Cleymans, Barbara Dex and Udo know all about that.
The well-known versatility of Dynamic will be their trump card for the concert in the Stadsschouwburg of Sint-Niklaas on Monday 20 October 2025 at 8 pm. They will bring a fascinating programme, combining classical compositions with accessible harmony music.
