MAGRITTE, master of surrealism: \u201cLA LIGNE DE VIE\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 1938, Ren\u00e9 Magritte gave a remarkable lecture at the Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp as a testimony to his own art:<\/p>\n

how he saw and approached reality and how he wanted to shape his vision of reality.<\/p>\n

He also spoke about the surrealist movement, which was manifesting itself in Brussels and Antwerp at the time.<\/p>\n

This lecture by Magritte forms the starting point for the exhibition: \u201cMagritte, La ligne de vie\u201d.<\/p>\n

The presence of the work of the artist Marthe Donas in the KMSKA offers the opportunity to compare these two figures of modernism.<\/p>\n
