OLYMPIC RINGS (HUGO VAN DER WILT)
At the Sports Hall 'De Klavers' the symbol of the Olympic idea is really in place. The artist has made a large three-dimensional sculpture of it. The rings, made of stainless steel, are loosely stacked on top of each other and seem to float. In a world where many countries are turning in on themselves, the Olympic message is more indispensable than ever: only by working together, across all borders, can we tackle the challenges of the future.
HUGO VAN DER WILT
Hugo graduated from the Patroonschool in Mechelen in the specialty of mould construction. He also followed a course in welding. Later on in his art works, he could also put his knowledge and experience in cold cutting, bending and welding to good use.
