INTERBELLUJM SCULPTURES, AROUND ART DECO in the David van Buuren Museum
The van Buuren Museum & Gardens is well worth a visit. The house (1928) was built for the couple David and Alice van Buuren by the architects Léon Govaerts and Alexis Van Vaerenbergh.
It is an icon of the Art Deco style. The interior offers an exceptional collection: furniture, sculpture, paintings, tapestries and stained-glass windows.
The gardens were designed by renowned landscape architects, Jules Buyssens and René Pechère. and were recognized by the “European Route of Historic Gardens.
The exhibition 'Interbellum Sculptures. Around Art Deco' presents sculpture from the avant-garde and neo-classicism to Art Deco.
David van Buuren-Museum Erreralaan 41 - Uccle - closed on Tuesdays.
