Dear Art Lover,
if you are going to Antwerpen, here is a tip for a visit worthwhile.
'IT WILL ALL BE GOOD' -- RICK de LEEUW
A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE IN THE KEIZERSKAPEL IN ANTWERP : LISTENING TO PAINTINGS
The Keizerskapel in Antwerp's Keizerstraat offers a special experience. This late Gothic chapel from the beginning of the 16th century has a beautiful 17th century Baroque interior with a collection of paintings (including those by Artus Quellinus II), sculptures and silverware.
AN ARTISTIC DIALOGUE
Writer and singer Rick de Leeuw was inspired by 12 paintings from the Phoebus Foundation. He performs personal lyrics and songs, in which he lets the works of art speak and sing.
Katharina Van Cauteren, director of The Phoebus Foundation, highlights the paintings in their art historical background.
The temporary exhibition can be visited until Sept. 30, 2025 - daily from 9 am to 6 pm. Admission is free.
