Visit to Busleyden-Mechelen

Dear Art Lover,

if you are going to Mechelen, here is a tip for a visit worthwhile.

For those who want to immerse themselves in the Burgundian Renaissance, the Hof van Busleyden in Mechelen is the place to be.

In a beautiful setting, the works of art speak of the period when Burgundy and the Low Countries were linked and art flourished under the patronage of the Burgundian dukes in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Recently, the museum acquired a portrait of Margaret of Austria from the atelier of Bernard of Orley.  It will soon be given a place there.

The museum is also already announcing an exhibition entitled:

“Eternal Spring, Gardens and Tapestries in the Renaissance” - from

14-12-2024 to 16-3-2025.

The Court of Busleyden is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
