An exhibition not to be missed: 'ERICH HECKEL in GENT'
The Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent offers a very interesting exhibition of the artwork of Erich Heckel (1883-1970).
He was an important German expressionist and co-founder of Die Brücke.
During WWI, he worked as a nurse in Roeselare, Ghent and Ostend. He loved the Flemish country and cities.
In bright colors and angular shapes, he depicts his inner joy of life. He brings a message of hope in dark times.
The exhibition runs from 12-10-2024 to 26-1-2025
