'BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH' at the Catharijneconvent in Utrecht
The Catharijneconvent in Utrecht presents modernist masterpieces from the period between the two world wars (1918-1939) avant-garde artists in search of interpretation and meaning in that period.
On display are works from the Phoebus Foundation: Kandinsky, Toorop, Max Beckmann. Also represented are: van de Woestyne, Servaes, Frits van den Berghe and De Saedeleer.
Moreover, the permanent exhibition of the Catharijneconvent is more than worth a visit especially the treasury and the magnificent collection of sculpture from the Middle Ages.
