An exhibition not to be missed: 'WAR OF OVERSTRAETEN BELICHT'.
In the Sint-Bernarduskerk of Mol-Sluis (next to Jacob Smits' museum) an exhibition is dedicated to War Van Overstraeten under the title: TERUG NAAR DE KEMPEN.
War Van Overstaeten (Wetteren 1891- Bruges 1981) divided his life between politics and painting.
His first works are in the line of expressionism. Closely following the soul of Jacob Smits, he continued to work in the line of animism.
