Dear Art Lover,
If you are going to Antwerp, here is a tip for a worthwhile visit.
'ALBRECHT DÜRER UNDER THE VERGROOTGLAS' at the museum De Reede in Antwerp.
The museum presents a unique series of engravings and etchings by Dürer from the collection of the Royal Library. They show the journey the artist undertook in our regions in the years 1520-1521.
Dürer's graphic work shows exceptional craftsmanship. A number of artists such as Lucas van Leyden and Jan Gossaert found inspiration in it.
The exhibition features a range of themes: religious and moralizing themes; representations of animals; the 'Meisterstiche' from 1513-1514 with 'Melencolia I' as part of it.
Museum De Reede - Ernest van Dijckkaai 7 - Antwerp until March 31, 2025.
