THE NEW PARIS FROM MONET TO MORISOT
In the mid-19th century, Paris experiences a total change. It develops into a new city. It detaches itself from the past on several levels with positive and negative consequences.
Artists oppose “classical” art. Monet provides the initiative.
The exhibition presents works by Monet, Manet, Renoir, Degas, Bazille and Caillebotte. Women are represented: Mary Cassatt and Berthe Morisot. The exhibition also features drawings and photographs; posters and cartoons of the renewing era.
Kunstmuseum Den Haag from 15/2 to 9/6/2025 from 10 am to 5 pm. Closed Mondays.
